Sugar Sand Distillery
Sugar Sand Distillery has been making rum in Lake Placid, Florida since 2017. These are the rums they’re currently producing:
Lake Placid Rum, a hybrid pot/column-distilled, fresh cane juice-based rum that’s bottled unaged at 80 proof. The cane juice is crushed on site from the distillery’s own estate-grown sugarcane.
Lake Placid Aged Rum, a version of the base used in their Lake Placid Rum that’s aged in new American oak barrels (#3 char and #2 toast) for at least six months. Bottled at 80 proof.
Lake Placid Spiced Rum, a version of the base used in their Lake Placid Rum that’s infused with natural spices and bottled unaged at 80 proof.
